It’s been a long time

Ruggie - Rugosus Hermit Crab - Canon G6

It’s been a long time since I last posted. Life has been busy, but the hermit crabs are thriving. In all honesty, they don’t need a lot of attention; they’re not like cats and dogs, they don’t require a companion. Keep their tank clean and warm and humid, add fresh food and water to their bowls, and they’re pretty happy to be left to roam the crabitat digging and playing together.

I did decide to move my straws into my main 55 gallon tank. They had been in their own 29 gallon, but maintaining three tanks took a lot of time and space. The strawberry hermit crabs are doing great and enjoying being mixed with the other species. I’m enjoying having one less tank to heat, clean, and maintain.

The little Ecuadorians are all doing great too!
