Hermit Crab Stitch Marks & Hermit Crabs and Kids

One of the methods we use to tell the difference between a rugosus and ecudorian hermit crab is by the stitch marks on the big pincher. Rugosus hermit crabs have very prominent stitch marks as shown in the picture above, but the equadorian’s are less obvious.
