For the next two months I’m crab sitting this cute little PP for EmeraldStar while she’s away continuing her education. She’s the daughter of one of my former students. She’s nicknamed me the HermitCrabProfessor. ;)

I don’t know this crabbies name, bad foster mom, so I will call him/her Em until I learn it’s proper name. Em joined the rest of my crew in the main tank since he’s been hanging out by himself for a while. Tonight we will throw a welcome to the crabitat party complete with steak, scrabled eggs, seaweed, and krill.

This is my first crab sitting experience, oh boy!

On another note, I fed my crabbies silversides (fish) last night for the first time. I did find a few scattered in the straw tank, so I guess they enjoyed them, but man, what a disgusting smell. Next time I feed those things to my crabs I’m wearing a mask. I am so thankful that I have the Tropic Aire Humidifier in my tank to pump fresh air in their. UGGGGGGG!
